Who we are
The Catalyst (thecatalyst.co) is a trading education community run by Kyle. This policy explains what we collect when you use this website, The Vault (dashboard.thecatalyst.co), our community, and the tools we use to publish our own content. Questions: kyle@thecatalyst.co.
What we collect
Email address, when you ask for our free write-up or join our email list. It is held by our email provider, MailerLite.
Messages you send us through the chat or contact form: your email, your message, the page you sent it from and your IP address. They are delivered to us by email.
Membership details. Memberships are sold and billed through Whop, which shares your membership status and the details you give Whop (such as your name, email and Discord account) so we can give you access to The Vault and our community. We never receive or store your card details.
Usage data. This website uses the Meta Pixel and Microsoft Clarity, which set cookies and record how pages are used (pages viewed, clicks, device and browser type, approximate location). Campaign tags in the link you arrived from (UTM parameters) are kept in your browser for the visit and passed to Whop at checkout so we know which channel a membership came from.
How we use it
To send you what you asked for, answer your messages, provide The Vault and the community to members, measure and improve our marketing, and keep the services secure. We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that run these services for us: Whop (memberships and payments), MailerLite (email), Meta and Microsoft (analytics), Discord (community) and our hosting provider. Each handles data under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
Catalyst Clips and TikTok
Catalyst Clips is our own tool for publishing short clips of our live streams to The Catalyst's own social media accounts. On TikTok it uses TikTok Login Kit and the Content Posting API.
When the account owner connects TikTok, we receive an access token, the account's open ID, display name and avatar, and the posting options TikTok provides for that account. We use them only to show which account a clip will be posted to and to post the clips the account owner chooses, with the settings they select. Tokens are stored on our own computer, are never shared, and can be revoked at any time from TikTok's settings or by disconnecting in Catalyst Clips.
Catalyst Clips does not access, collect or store data about any other TikTok user, and it is not offered to the public.
YouTube and Instagram
The same tool uploads our own clips to our own YouTube channel through the YouTube API Services, and to our own Instagram account through Meta's Instagram API. See YouTube's Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Access can be revoked at any time in the Google account's security settings.
Keeping and deleting data
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires. You can unsubscribe from our emails with the link in any email, block cookies in your browser, and ask us to access, correct or delete your information by emailing kyle@thecatalyst.co.
Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above.
